We have used this space to explain who we are, what we do and why. This post is about how we do it.
The closest description of our job is consultant: someone who provides expert advice and services professionally. In our case we advise construction equipment brands on how to use content in their public relations, social media, advertising and other communications. As consultants, we think and work a little differently than in-house marketing departments and full-service agencies. If you are considering working with one, here is what to expect from us.

Consultants work differently than agencies and in-house teams.
Whatever the project, we are focused on delivering the final result on or before the deadline. It is one of the first questions we ask on a new project, and we build the timeline backward from that date. Our clients have to get their work done on time, which means we do too.
Most marketers we work with keep set office hours. We are not bound by them. Our hours flex around time zones, project timing and what needs to happen that day, which sometimes means nights, weekends or holidays. In exchange we do not have to be at a desk at 9 a.m. every day. We work when the work needs doing.
Nothing is worse than a partner who over-promises and under-delivers, which often happens when a marketer tries to do it all. We focus on our niche and play to that strength. When a client brings us an opportunity outside what we do, we do not abandon them. We help find the right person and make the introduction.
One of the first questions new clients ask is who owns the work. The answer is simple: you do. When you pay us to do something, you have commissioned the work, the same way someone commissions an artist for a painting. When it is done, it belongs to the person who paid for it.
Our job is not just to take a project, do the work and hand it back. It includes giving our opinion, sharing our experience, telling you what we actually think and helping you manage the expectations of your peers, your boss and your customers. We do not charge extra for it. It is part of who we are.
There are plenty more nuances that make working with a consultant different. If you are curious, visit our ‣ page and we will be happy to explain.
